We need one person who can represent campaign issues at the door to our long term donors and bring in new support, too.
Successful candidate will have a combination of ability to absorb and translate information to the public and ability to translate that to financial support for Boreal Action. We have chosen to fund our work through individual donations in this way to retain our autonomy and ability to direct our work as we see fit without fear of funding cuts. A diversity of donors ensures that we are always viable.
This person will, ideally, have experience in non-profit canvassing/fundraising, or in another fundraising capacity, or related position. They will work largely independently, after a suitable training period. Pay is by commission and the canvass position is contract.
This job is not for everybody and requires a special combination of skills. When undertaken by the right person, it’s a fantastic way to make a decent living and have control of your time in a job with personal integrity.
